Remote Company Secretary Roles

Some exciting opportunities have arisen for experienced Company Secretaries pitched at Assistant Manager up to Senior Manager level in professional services to join a highly regarded team. The positions offer real flexibility, with both full-time and four-day week arrangements considered. The roles are predominantly remote, with attendance at board meetings in London typically required once or twice per month.

Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will provide governance and company secretarial support to listed companies, regulated businesses, private companies and not-for-profit organisations. The team operates in a collaborative environment that encourages professional development and exposure to a broad range of governance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on company secretarial compliance, corporate governance and company law matters
  • Attend and minute board and committee meetings, providing governance support and guidance
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across a variety of sectors
  • Draft governance documents, corporate policies and compliance materials
  • Support corporate transactions, share capital reorganisations, board effectiveness reviews and other governance projects
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional development
  • Play an active role in fostering a positive and collaborative team culture

Skills & Experience

  • CGI-qualified Chartered Governance Professional
  • Strong experience supporting boards and committees, including minute-taking and governance advisory work
  • Sound knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and UK corporate governance principles
  • Familiarity with the UK Corporate Governance Code, QCA Code, and/or Listing Rules would be advantageous
  • A minimum of two years' company secretarial experience gained either in-house or within professional services
  • Experience supporting listed companies and regulated entities is desirable
