Job Description
This role involves leading the development of a minimum viable product (MVP) tailored for script supervisors in the film and television industry. The application will streamline established workflows, integrate with existing media and file formats, and lay the groundwork for future expansion to other production departments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the technical direction, estimating project timelines, and ensuring the platform is robust, scalable, and user-friendly. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to influence a unique product in a niche market.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop a SaaS MVP for script supervisors, focusing on workflow automation and media integration.
- Design and implement scalable databases and RESTful APIs to support application functionality.
- Integrate AI APIs to enhance workflow efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project milestones.
- Ensure seamless integration with industry-standard media and file formats used in film and television production.
- Provide technical guidance on best practices for scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Prepare the platform for user testing and gather feedback for iterative improvements.
- Contribute to project planning, timeline estimation, and documentation.

Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior full-stack developer, with a strong portfolio of SaaS applications.
- Expertise in designing and building scalable databases and REST APIs.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate third-party AI APIs into production systems.
- Proficiency in modern web development frameworks and cloud-based deployment.
- Familiarity with media production or post-production workflows is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to deliver a first version for testing by December and provide ongoing support as needed.
