Music Composer for 2D Pixel Art Game Trailer

This role is for a talented music composer to create an original soundtrack for a 2D pixel art game trailer with a Solarpunk theme. The project draws inspiration from classic SNES titles like Chrono Trigger, blending nostalgic visuals with a utopian, futuristic atmosphere. The narrative centers on a world at risk, where characters unite to preserve a hard-won balance between nature and technology. The music should evoke themes of tranquil revolution, planetary stewardship, and the fusion of organic and technological elements. The trailer will serve as a proof of concept to gauge market interest and potentially secure further funding. The ideal candidate will bring creative vision and adaptability, offering suggestions for a soundtrack that balances timeless, emotional resonance with a modern, synth-driven edge—avoiding chiptune or retro 8/16-bit sounds. This is a remote, freelance opportunity suited for a composer with a strong portfolio in game music.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
