Illustrator for Children's Book
This role is for a talented illustrator to bring to life a heartfelt children’s book about a wealthy but unhappy boy who discovers happiness through human values, guided by an older woman. The project requires 25 engaging illustrations and a captivating cover, all tailored to a young audience. The story’s emotional journey and character development should be reflected in the artwork, with delivery expected by November 2026. This is a personal project with creative freedom and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young readers.
Deliverables
- Create 25 original, full-color illustrations that capture key moments and emotions in the story
- Design an eye-catching book cover that appeals to children and parents
- Collaborate closely with the author to ensure illustrations align with the narrative and character arcs
- Deliver high-resolution digital files suitable for print and e-book formats
- Incorporate feedback and revisions as needed to achieve the desired artistic vision
- Meet the project deadline of November 2026

Requirements
- Proven experience illustrating children’s books or similar projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to convey emotion, character, and story through illustration
- Proficiency in digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate)
- Ability to adapt style to suit the tone and age group of the story
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
- Reliable time management to meet agreed deadlines
- Experience working on personal or independent publishing projects is a plus
