About The Role
Alignerr is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer, specializing as an AI Data Trainer, to join our dynamic team. This fully remote, hourly contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will focus on creating structured reasoning traces and high-quality training data that enable AI models to better understand and operate in real-world scenarios. Your work will involve writing clear and logical reasoning steps, mapping decision processes, and evaluating AI outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning or computer science, exceptional writing skills, and an eye for detail in complex AI applications. This position provides flexibility, allowing you to work independently on your schedule while making a significant impact on AI development.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a solid foundation in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or computer science, with relevant experience in data annotation, model training, or AI reasoning. Strong written communication skills are essential, as the role requires documenting reasoning processes and decision mappings clearly and accurately. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Familiarity with AI evaluation metrics, data structuring, and reasoning trace generation is preferred. A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements are highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a Machine Learning Engineer (AI Data Trainer), your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing structured reasoning traces that guide AI decision-making processes.
- Mapping decision workflows and documenting logical reasoning steps for AI systems.
- Creating and curating high-quality training datasets that enhance AI model performance.
- Evaluating AI outputs, identifying errors, and providing detailed feedback for improvements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine AI reasoning capabilities and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Writing clear, detailed documentation of reasoning processes and decision logic.
- Participating in iterative training and testing cycles to optimize AI system performance.
- Maintaining accuracy and consistency in data annotation and reasoning trace generation.
