About The Role
Alignerr is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer, specifically an AI Data Trainer, to join our team on a fully remote, hourly contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and refining next-generation AI systems by creating structured reasoning traces and high-quality training data tailored for real-world scenarios. Your primary responsibility will be to write clear, logical reasoning steps, map decision processes, and evaluate AI outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability. This position offers the flexibility to work independently on a schedule that suits you, making it ideal for professionals with a strong background in machine learning or computer science, coupled with excellent writing skills and an eye for detail in complex AI systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Proven experience in machine learning, data annotation, or AI training roles.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to articulate complex reasoning processes clearly and concisely.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to evaluate AI outputs and decision processes.
- Familiarity with structured reasoning, decision trees, and logic-based AI systems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience working remotely and collaborating in virtual teams is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed, structured reasoning traces that guide AI systems in decision-making processes.
- Map decision processes and decision trees to facilitate AI understanding and reasoning capabilities.
- Evaluate AI outputs critically to identify errors, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement.
- Write clear and precise reasoning steps that enhance AI model training and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and AI researchers to refine training datasets and improve model accuracy.
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all training data and reasoning documentation.
- Work independently to meet project deadlines while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
