PERMANENT REMOTE OPERATIONS MANAGER JOB!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, purpose-driven organisation at a pivotal stage of its development. As a newly created Operations Manager role, you will work closely with the Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer, helping to shape the way the organisation operates as it continues to expand.

This is far more than a traditional operations position. You'll play a central role in driving organisational effectiveness, improving processes, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring the business has the infrastructure, systems and operational foundations needed to scale successfully. For a commercially-minded individual who enjoys variety, influence and seeing the direct impact of their work, this role offers the opportunity to become a key member of the leadership support team.

Working remotely, with occasional travel to Sheffield for meetings and collaborative sessions, you'll take ownership of a broad range of operational responsibilities. You'll identify opportunities to improve ways of working, streamline processes, enhance efficiency and support the successful delivery of business objectives across multiple functions. You'll regularly engage with senior stakeholders, balancing day-to-day operational activity with longer-term improvement projects that contribute to the organisation's continued growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
