Role overview
We are seeking a Paralegal or Support Lawyer with at least 2 years' experience in corporate law, company secretarial work, or general corporate transactions to support our Energy & Infrastructure team on a fully remote secondment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing transactions, coordinating stakeholders and supporting lawyers on complex matters. The role will involve working closely with fee earners, clients and external parties to help drive transactions forward, manage key deliverables and ensure matters run efficiently from inception to completion.
Previous experience within a law firm, in-house legal team, company secretarial function or corporate governance environment would be highly beneficial.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Energy & Infrastructure team on a range of corporate and transactional matters.
- Assist with the preparation, review and management of transaction and corporate documentation.
- Coordinate workstreams and monitor key actions, deadlines and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain transaction checklists, signing trackers and closing documents.
- Manage document execution processes and completion requirements.
- Liaise with lawyers, clients, company secretaries, advisers and other stakeholders to ensure matters progress smoothly.
- Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities where required.
- Conduct document reviews, organise large volumes of information and maintain accurate records.
- Provide regular updates on matter progress and flag any risks or delays.
- Assist with know-how, precedent and process improvement initiatives within the team.

Candidate requirements
- LPC, SQE, law degree or equivalent legal qualification (including foreign-qualified lawyers).
- At least two years' experience as a Paralegal, Support Lawyer, Company Secretary Assistant or within a corporate legal function.
- Previous company secretarial, corporate governance or general corporate law experience is essential.
- Experience supporting transactions, managing documentation and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
- Proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
- Available to work on a fully remote basis.
