AG Transactional Real Estate Team Associate

As part of the delivery of asset management and investment work to our existing and new clients, the AG Transactional Real Estate team are looking to appoint multiple Associates to each act as a dedicated resource to a designated client within a structured delivery model.

You will be delivering legal services as part of a new and progressive delivery team model, using the latest innovative ways of working and embracing forward-thinking approaches to drive value.

Offering a real work life balance with increased certainty and flexibility in hours, the role can be office based or primarily home-based role with travel to our Leeds office at least twice per month (to be agreed depending on the level of experience of the individual(s)). There will be additional attendance required initially for training with the team and occasional visits to other offices to meet with the client so as to ensure that you feel part of the wider team.

This role offers the unique opportunity to focus exclusively on one major client, enabling you to develop deep sector expertise and build strong client relationships, while also benefitting from the comprehensive support, training, and career development opportunities available at Addleshaw Goddard.

Our Tier 1 ranked Leeds Transactional Real Estate team consists of 5 partners and over 50 fee earners, and they place a high emphasis on their transactional expertise, bringing a commercial and business-oriented approach to a wide range of property matters.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a dedicated legal resource for a key client, developing a strong understanding of their business while working within a structured delivery model supported by the wider firm.
  • Manage your own caseload, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures, including drafting and negotiating leases, ancillary property documents, tenant due diligence enquiries, and lease management applications.
  • Oversee transaction completion processes, maintain accurate matter status updates, and manage personal financial responsibilities, including WIP, billing, and write-offs.
  • Supervise and support junior lawyers and paralegals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work across lettings and property management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external advisers, acting as a key point of contact and participating in client engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with the wider client account team to share best practice, drive process improvements, maintain consistency of approach, and support wider real estate transactions as required.

Who We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years' PQE advising on transactional real estate matters in England and Wales.
  • Ideally have experience of working for institutional landlords.
  • Be dedicated to the highest levels of client service, with strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ideally have experience managing high volume, fast paced workloads in a client facing role as part of a wider team following processes and utilising legal technology tools will be especially suitable.
  • Have a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities, and developing practical, commercially focused solutions.
