Role Summary
The Remote Sales Representative is responsible for driving the growth and retention of a specialist anaesthesia and injectable product portfolio across the UK. This role serves as a vital commercial link between NHS customers, field sales, and internal supply teams to ensure continuity of care and market expansion. Success is measured by account retention, new business acquisition, and effective navigation of NHS procurement frameworks within a fully remote, mid-level professional capacity.
Work Setup & Collaboration
- Remote Autonomy: Operates in a 100% remote environment, requiring high levels of self-motivation and disciplined time management.
- Strategic Collaboration: Works closely with Field Sales Managers, Technical Teams, and Regulatory departments to align supply with clinical demand.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manages complex relationships across NHS pharmacy departments, procurement hubs, and clinical leads via virtual platforms.
- Compliance-Driven: Operates within the rigorous ABPI Code of Practice and highly regulated medical device/pharmaceutical supply chain standards.
What You'll Do
- Drive Portfolio Growth: Proactively identify and win new business opportunities for anaesthesia and specialist injectable products through data-led prospecting.
- Account Retention: Monitor sales performance to identify declining accounts and implement re-engagement strategies to secure long-term loyalty.
- Navigate Procurement: Engage NHS stakeholders on procurement frameworks, demonstrating product value and supporting Cost Improvement Objectives (CIPs).
- Clinical Communication: Articulate technical product differentiation and value propositions to pharmacists and clinical stakeholders via phone and video.
- Supply Chain Management: Proactively communicate supply issues, backorders, and shortages to customers to maintain trust and service continuity.
- Data Integrity: Maintain precise records within the CRM to support accurate forecasting, tender activity, and pricing contract management.
- Lifecycle Support: Coordinate equipment audits and align with technical teams to manage the installed base and future upgrade cycles.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with internal regulatory and supply chain teams to resolve market-driven commercial challenges.
- Ownership: Independently manage the end-to-end sales process for assigned accounts, from initial outreach to contract administration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
