Role Description

The role for Class 1 or Class 2 Removals Driver, this is a full-time, on-site position based in Aberdeen, responsible for safely transporting household and commercial goods to and from customer locations. Day-to-day duties include:

The Removals Driver will also support the team with packing, basic furniture dismantling and reassembly, and adherence to company health and safety practices. This role requires a professional, customer-focused approach and a willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early starts or extended days, to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid, clean driving license appropriate for commercial/removal vehicles and confident, safe driving skills over short and long distances.
  • Experience in removals, transport, logistics, or a similar role, with practical skills in loading, unloading, and manual handling.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and clearly with a wide range of clients.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and other heavy items safely as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in following schedules, route plans, documentation, and health and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing plans, and maintain a professional demeanor in busy or challenging situations.
  • Basic problem-solving and practical skills, such as navigating access challenges at properties and protecting items during transit.
  • Previous experience in domestic or commercial removals, and knowledge of UK road networks and regulations, are advantageous.
