Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time reliable and hardworking Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV, 7.5T) and Porter to join our removals team.

The role involves supporting domestic and commercial moves, including packing, loading and unloading vehicles, safely handling customers’ possessions, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely pack, load, transport, and unload customers’ possessions.
  • Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
  • Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
  • Ensure Company health & safety and working procedures are followed.
  • Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
  • Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
  • Support other operational duties as required.

About You

  • Valid UK driver's licence essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and professional.
  • Good team-working skills with the ability to take responsibility.
  • Experience in removals, moving, logistics, or a similar role is desirable.
  • Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
  • Full training will be provided where necessary.

Training & Development

Join Us As a 3.5T Driver And, If You Wish To Progress To LGV/HGV Driving, Pickfords Will Support Your Development With Training To Help You:

  • Obtain an LGV Category C or C+E licence.
  • Obtain a Driver CPC qualification.
  • Progress your career within the moving and transport industry.
