Removals Sales Surveyor: Home-Based
Location: Home-based, covering the North of England and the Midlands
Salary: A GBP 30,000 basic salary
Benefits: Car, fuel card and commission

Are you an experienced Removals Sales Surveyor looking for a home-based position with an excellent benefits package?
Our client, an established removals company, is looking for an experienced Removals Sales Surveyor to cover the North of England and the Midlands. This is a newly created position offering an attractive combination of home working, video surveys and face-to-face customer appointments.
The successful candidate will usually spend approximately three days per week working from home and conducting video surveys, with two days travelling to customer appointments. However, this may vary depending on business requirements and the volume and location of enquiries.
This is a genuinely home-based position.
What you'll do
As Removals Sales Surveyor, you will manage customer enquiries and carry out professional video and in-person surveys for domestic and international removals.
You will assess customers' requirements, calculate volumes, recommend the most suitable moving services and prepare accurate quotations. You will also follow up on enquiries and build strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct video and face-to-face removals surveys
- Survey household goods accurately and calculate volumes
- Identify customers' domestic and international moving requirements
- Prepare detailed and competitive quotations
- Advise customers on part-load and full-container services
- Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records
- Liaise closely with the operations and move management teams
- Deliver a professional and knowledgeable service throughout the customer journey
- Travel across the North of England and Midlands to attend customer appointments
What You Need
The successful candidate must have previous experience surveying international household removals. The company requires someone who can confidently manage international surveys from the outset, as full technical training cannot be provided.
- Proven experience as a Removals Sales Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of international removals and shipping options
- Experience conducting both video and face-to-face surveys
- The ability to calculate volumes and prepare accurate quotations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A confident and professional sales approach
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A full UK driving licence

Location
The position covers the North of England, with Birmingham being the furthest point south that the Surveyor would normally travel.
Candidates living north of Birmingham would be ideally located. Suitable areas may include Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
The successful candidate's first week will be based in the head office in the Greater London area with all reasonable travel and accommodation expenses paid by the company.
