Full-time, permanent role: 40 hours per week
You will support the installation of solar PV, battery storage and low-carbon heating systems across a range of projects, working alongside electricians and the wider team.
About The Role
Here's what we're looking for: working safely and efficiently; taking a practical, hands-on approach; supporting the team to deliver well-run sites; and maintaining a positive, reliable presence on site.
You'll be part of a team that's making a real difference on the island, helping reduce people's energy costs, supporting the transition to renewables, and getting involved in community and charity projects.
What You'll Be Doing
Installation and support:
- Assist with installation of solar panels, battery systems and heat pumps
- Carry out framing, mounting and cable runs for systems
- Support both mechanical and electrical elements of installations

Team & Site Delivery
- Work closely with electricians and other trades
- Help keep sites organised, efficient and running smoothly
- Assist with loading, materials handling and general site tasks
Customer & Operational Support
- Work professionally with clients on site, supporting a good customer experience
- Answer basic queries where appropriate or escalate as needed
- Complete job documentation after installation
Essential
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Practical, hands-on approach with good technical awareness
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
- Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Able to work well as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in construction, roofing, electrical or similar site-based work
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems
- Experience working on building or installation projects
- Driving licence
