Renewable Engineer
Covering Suffolk and surrounding areas
£42,235 - £44,458 per year
40 hours per week
We are looking for a qualified Renewable Engineer to join our Gas Operations team based in Ely. You will be working alone or as part of a team, carrying out servicing and repairs on a wide range of boilers and appliances, heating surveys and completing electronic LGSR. You will also work alongside the planning team. Out of hour emergency call outs are part of the role and are managed amongst the team on a rota basis.
The role of Renewable Engineer will include:
- Carrying out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas and renewable central heating systems
- Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, G11 for Unvented Cylinders, WBBEC (safe Isolation), and Water Regulations (WRAS), Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas and renewable heating systems
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Working knowledge of building regulations, particularly Part L Energy Efficiency
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- £42,235 per annum (rising to £44,458 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
