Company Description

Stoic Homes is a general building contractor, designer, and Passivhaus consultant specializing in low-energy buildings and natural materials. The company delivers residential and commercial retrofit projects, new build homes, and bespoke garden rooms with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Stoic Homes also offers solar PV and battery storage solutions, helping clients reduce carbon emissions and energy costs. In addition, the team provides general consultancy and supports community-led housing initiatives, giving applicants exposure to diverse, purpose-driven projects.

Role Description

The Renewables Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Preston. This role supports the delivery of solar PV, battery storage, and other renewable projects by managing documentation, scheduling installations, and coordinating with clients, suppliers, and installation teams.

The Renewables Administrator will respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotes and basic proposals, and assist with reporting on project progress and performance. The role also involves working closely with project managers to streamline workflows and help improve processes related to renewable energy services.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including document management, scheduling, and data entry.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities, with confidence in phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar PV, battery storage) or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email, and CRM or project management tools).
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and follow compliance procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and trades, as well as independently managing own workload.
  • Experience in construction, building services, or energy sectors is beneficial but not essential.
  • Relevant vocational training or a qualification in administration, business, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Understanding of MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) related administrative processes and procedures.
