Company Description

Avonside Energy is a UK-wide provider of sustainable building solutions, helping developers, businesses, and local authorities reduce carbon emissions and manage future energy costs. The company delivers high-quality new build insulation services that support energy efficiency and regulatory compliance in new homes. Avonside Energy also designs and installs solar PV systems for new housing developments and large-scale rooftop or ground-mount installations for industrial, agricultural, and commercial clients. With a strong track record across the UK, the team focuses on reliable, cost-effective renewable technologies that support long-term sustainability goals.

Our work doesn’t end when a solar PV installation is completed. Behind every installation is important commissioning documentation, certification, regulatory applications, and customer information — and making sure all of that is accurate and completed on time is essential.

Role Description

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Renewables Administrator to support our Solar PV operations.

You will be responsible for managing the documentation and administration that follows our Solar PV installations, helping to ensure projects are correctly commissioned, compliant, and successfully handed over. This is a varied role combining administration, compliance, document management, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and updating Solar PV site commissioning documentation
  • Checking documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Compiling handover packs and certification for completed installations
  • Maintaining accurate digital records for audit and compliance purposes
  • Managing online project folders, filing, and document version control
  • Preparing and submitting electrical applications to Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and external power suppliers
  • Tracking applications and maintaining accurate submission records
  • Liaising with external organisations to resolve queries and progress approvals
  • Managing the team inbox and responding to client and end-user enquiries
  • Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Communicating professionally with customers, suppliers, and colleagues

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
