Marsh Risk is seeking a Renewables National Practice Leader for our Corporate and Commercial Business.
This new role will lead development of our Renewables Practice within our Marsh Risk Corporate and Commercial (C&C) client segment, focusing on supporting current clients with excellent client service delivery, along with growing our new client portfolio across the UK.
This role requires close collaboration with Senior Leadership across C&C as well as our specialty Power and Energy team to develop, lead, and execute our growth strategy, champion client initiatives, and unlock the full potential of our excellent Renewables colleagues. You will foster a growth-oriented culture across the UK Commercial business and contribute to building a collaborative, supportive, and structured national Renewables practice.
The successful candidate for this role will ideally be based in London or Bristol offices, on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to work 3 days per week in the office. We will also consider candidates based within our other offices in the UK.
We will count on you to:
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with renewables clients, prospects, insurers and industry stakeholders in the renewables sector.
- Deliver excellent client outcomes underpinned by leading industry insights to support retention and growth of current client portfolio.
- Lead the expansion of regional hubs and specialisms across the UK.
- Be a key stakeholder in the maintenance and development of our Renewables client facilities.
- Be the profile leader of our Renewables Practice for C&C with clients, industry internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for quality, compliance, and ethical behaviour.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of renewables focused colleagues to maintain and develop a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the C&C Renewables growth strategy, ensuring delivery against the annual budgets and targets.
- Forecast, measure, and analyse practice performance data to identify key trends to support enhancement of client delivery.
- Support practice development initiatives including strategic prospecting, value proposition development, relationship management, and delivering renewables sector insights and thought leadership.
- Partner with P&L stakeholders to implement growth plans and maximise sales capacity within the T2 community.
- Accelerate two-way collaboration across other Marsh businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and operational stakeholders across the region, including C&C executive leadership, heads of office, service and functional leadership, Placement and Marketing.
- Work within Marsh’s compliance procedures and guidelines to ensure all activities meet regulatory and company standards.

What you need to have:
- Strong experience in the Power and Energy / Renewables insurance market, grounded in client service excellence and a flair for delivering great client outcomes.
- Natural leadership abilities with impeccable communication skills with a focus on efficiency and clarity.
- Strong technical competency, dovetailed with strong client and prospect engagement skill set.
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate and bring stakeholders along a growth orientated journey.
- Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Highly organized and comfortable with creating structure, presentations and workflows.
- Ability to drive change and challenge constructively to effect change management.
