EV DNO Team Lead Role
Are you ready to take the next step in your career within the Renewables department? We are currently seeking a Full-Time Renewables Lead - EV DNO to guide our EV DNO team based on-site in Leeds. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in coordinating daily workloads, coaching team members, overseeing DNO applications, and managing first-line escalations. If you have a strong understanding of EV installations and DNO processes, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and previous experience in a team-leading, administration or operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to drive process improvements and support our Grid Connections Manager.
To provide day-to-day leadership and support to the EV DNO team, coordinating workloads, supporting colleagues, managing first-line escalations, and ensuring cases are progressed effectively and within agreed timescales.

- Lead and support the EV DNO team, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and direction.
- Allocate and prioritize workloads, ensuring tasks are distributed effectively and cases are progressed within agreed timescales.
- Oversee the review of customer photographs and documentation, ensuring the correct Connect & Notify or DNO application route is identified.
- Oversee DNO applications, isolator requirements, and cases progressing through to approval and handover.
- Manage and monitor the Intercom inbox, ensuring customer and DNO enquiries are responded to promptly and appropriately.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex cases, customer concerns, and DNO issues, resolving where possible and escalating to the Grid Connections Manager where required.
- Monitor team performance, workload, case ageing, and key SLAs, providing regular reporting and updates to the Grid Connections Manager.
- Liaise with Technical, Planning, Sales, and other teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth case progression.
- Identify process improvements, recurring issues, and training requirements within the team.
- Support the Grid Connections Manager with wider operational projects, process changes, and team performance management.

Skills / Experience
- Previous experience in a team-leading, senior administration, or operational role.
- Strong understanding of EV installations and DNO processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and make effective decisions.
- Confident managing escalations and challenging situations.
- Ability to coach, support, and develop team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical information.
- Experience in renewables, utilities, EV, or DNO processes desirable.
