Job Description:

Department Overview

The Renewables division is responsible for delivering ground-mounted solar PV projects across the UK, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant on-site operations through all stages of construction.

JOB OBJECTIVE

To supervise subcontractors and oversee daily site operations on renewable energy projects, ensuring safe working practices, compliance with technical specifications, and effective progress reporting under the direction of the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • HSQE standards and deliver toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company safety policies.
  • Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
  • Highlight risks, delays, and issues promptly.
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support client visits and provide updates on site progress.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with snagging and quality checks prior to project completion.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in site supervision, preferably in renewable energy or large-scale solar PV projects.
  • Ground Mount Solar Farm experience essential.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and enforce safety standards.
  • SMSTS certification essential; First Aid qualification required.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of UK construction and renewable energy regulations.
