The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Renewals Account Handler / Broker to join our Existing Business Team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years' insurance experience who is looking to develop a long-term career within commercial insurance.
Whether you have experience in personal lines and are keen to transition into commercial insurance, or you already have some commercial broking experience and are looking to broaden your knowledge, we will provide the support, training and exposure to help you develop your career.
Working within a friendly and collaborative team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring renewals are handled efficiently while delivering excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to retain and grow business.
You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of commercial insurance classes, including Self Build, Property, Shops, Offices, and Tradesman Liability.

Key Responsibilities
- Process all policy renewals within company service standards, insurer deadlines, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of existing commercial insurance clients, delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
- Prepare renewal documentation, obtain competitive quotations, and present suitable insurance solutions to clients.
- Manage outstanding premiums and support effective debt management to minimize aged debt.
- Identify opportunities to retain clients and support the growth of the existing portfolio through cross-selling and up-selling where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all activity is fully documented in accordance with FCA and company compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurer partners.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Existing Business Team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required.
- Contribute positively to the team's culture and assist in initiatives that improve productivity, service standards, and the overall working environment.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- 1–2 years' experience within the insurance industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
