About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sage Homes due to the relocation of the current team. We're looking for an experienced Service Charge and Rent Manager to lead the operational delivery of our rent setting and service charge function, ensuring charges are accurate, compliant and transparent for our customers. Reporting to the Head of Service Charge and Rent, you'll lead a specialist team, drive service excellence and play a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for our residents.

This role is based at our Northampton office 3 days per week and 2 days remotely if required.
Key Duties
- Lead, develop and motivate the Service Charge and Rent team, ensuring high performance, effective workload management and excellent customer service.
- Oversee the delivery of annual rent reviews and service charge cycles, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with managing agents and key stakeholders, challenging costs and driving value for money on behalf of residents.
- Ensure robust governance, quality assurance and compliance across all rent and service charge activities, escalating risks where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes, controls, reporting and customer communications across the service
About You
- Proven experience managing service charge, rent setting, housing finance or leasehold management services within a housing or property environment.
- Experience leading and developing teams, including performance management, coaching and workload planning.
- Strong understanding of the Rent Standard, Shared Ownership, leasehold requirements and service charge legislation.
- Excellent analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify risks and opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence positive outcomes.
- CIH Level 4 or above is preferred
