Set up in 2017 and funded by Blackstone and Regis to help address the housing crisis in the UK, Sage Homes has now delivered more than 21,000 homes all of which are affordable. A further 2,500 new homes are in our construction pipeline.

Sage is proud to be England's largest provider of newly built affordable homes for five successive years, providing our customers with high-quality, energy efficient properties (98% of Sage homes are EPC A or B) to live in safe, secure and thriving communities.

The role:

Are you an experienced service charge professional looking to take the lead in a high-impact role?

We're seeking a Rent & Service Charge Team Leader to be our subject matter expert, driving service charge and rent-setting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maximising income, and delivering outstanding outcomes for residents. This is a pivotal role where you'll lead a small team, influence strategic decision-making, and build strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders.

This role is based in our Northampton office 3 days per week and 2 days remotely if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Rent & Service Charge team, driving performance, capability and service excellence.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and reconciliation of service charge budgets, ensuring accuracy, transparency and compliance.
  • Manage the annual rent review process across the portfolio, ensuring all changes are implemented correctly and in line with legislation and policy.
  • Act as the key relationship manager for managing agents and management companies, challenging costs and driving value for money.
  • Provide expert advice on service charges, rent setting, leases and regulatory requirements to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Drive continual improvement of systems, controls and processes whilst delivering high-quality reporting and governance assurance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
