Our Water Solutions & Services (WSS) business delivers critical rental and service solutions that help customers respond to planned and emergency water management needs across municipal, industrial, and commercial environments.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially driven Rental Sales Manager to lead the growth of our rental business across the North of the UK. This role is focused on developing new customer relationships, expanding existing accounts, and delivering profitable rental solutions that support customer operations across wastewater, bypass, dewatering, and temporary pumping applications.
The successful candidate will combine strong sales capability with technical understanding and a customer-first mindset. You will work closely with operations, service, and engineering teams to ensure responsive and high-quality rental solutions are delivered safely and efficiently.

- Drive rental revenue growth across the northern UK region through proactive business development and account management.
- Identify and develop opportunities within municipal water utilities, industrial customers, contractors, and infrastructure projects.
- Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, framework partners, and key stakeholders.
- Promote the full rental portfolio including pumps, bypass systems, treatment solutions, and associated services.
- Develop sales plans and territory strategies aligned to regional objectives and growth targets.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and manage contracts through to successful delivery.
- Collaborate with operational and service teams to ensure excellent customer experience and project execution.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within rental, water, pumps, utilities, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving growth targets.
- Technical understanding of pumping, dewatering, temporary water systems, or related equipment would be advantageous.
- Ability to build credibility and long-term customer relationships across multiple stakeholder levels.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously within a regional territory.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within the water industry or temporary rental solutions environment.
- Understanding of municipal utility frameworks and contractor networks.
- Knowledge of wastewater bypass, stormwater management, and emergency response solutions.
