We have an great opportunity for a dynamic Rental Supervisor to join our committed team in Southampton. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As a vital part of one of U-Drive's essential teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring outstanding customer service.
About the Role
You'll be part of a 45-hour rota that includes weekends. Your primary focus will be supervising and assisting in preparing and delivery vehicles, as well as collecting and assessing damage.
Role Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone enquiries promptly
- Enter booking details onto the system and process sales order agreements, including preparing invoices
- Promote the Company at every opportunity
- To provide full support for all office activities and filling management system
- Check vehicle at end of hire for damage, using appropriate system, as and when required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including keeping work area clean and tidy, promoting and ensuring standards of internal branch cleanliness are maintained
- Report fault, damage or general un-roadworthiness in accordance with safety regulations and Company procedures to our Fleet team, as and when required
- Take responsibility for vehicle checking and cleanliness in the absence of the Valeter, including the pre-rental inspections
- Drive, deliver and/or collect vehicles directly to customer or inter-branch, as and when required
- Administering Rental Hire Contracts
- Supervising a team of drivers and insuring they maintain a quality of work compliant with Company standards
- Utilising internal systems for creating and processing vehicle bookings
- Any other duties as required

About You
The ideal candidate will be a can-do individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Collaborating closely with the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient vehicle hiring services, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Full clean UK driving license
- Prior team supervision or leadership experience
- Confidence using general office systems
- Experience handling customer complaints or difficult service situations
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Available to work every other Saturday morning, Sunday park-up for an hour, and bank holiday hours of 8-11
- Prior vehicle rental, automotive, or fleet operations background, or experience in a broader customer-facing operations environment, is a plus
- Experience with vehicle inspections, damage checks, and rental handovers and returns is a plus
- Experience with booking, rental, and invoicing systems is a plus
