What you’ll be doing
- Managing and progressing repair orders day to day, ensuring components move through the repair cycle efficiently and delays are minimised.
- Acting as a key operational contact for repair vendors, ensuring clear communication around workscopes, priorities, customer requirements and modifications.
- Maintaining accurate repair order data, including costs, turnaround times, status updates, vendor notes, quotes and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing, logging and processing vendor quotes, escalating deviations, approval requirements or budget concerns where needed.
- Monitoring vendor performance against turnaround time, cost and quality expectations, supporting corrective actions where performance issues arise.
- Working closely with Sales, Programmes and Product Line teams to provide timely component status updates, expected return dates and visibility of risks.
- Supporting commercial activity by validating vendor costs, negotiating pricing or additional findings within agreed thresholds, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Contributing to KPI performance across repair turnaround times, quote cycle time, cost variance, warranty recovery and data accuracy.
- Helping to identify process improvements, operational bottlenecks and opportunities to improve consistency across the Repairs function.

What we’re looking for
- Experience within the aerospace industry, ideally gained in a stockist, MRO, airline, workshop, repair or operational supply chain environment.
- A good understanding of component repair processes, MRO workflows and repair vendor management.
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with vendors and internal teams.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational improvement and keeping activity moving.
- Experience using Quantum or a similar ERP/MRO management system would be advantageous.
- Technical understanding of airframe components, aviation qualifications or exposure to cost negotiation within repair operations would also be beneficial.
