Repairs Advisor - Customer Service

37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, based at our offices on Preston Docks

£27,500.00 per annum

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Repairs Advisor, you will provide an excellent front-line service to our customers, mainly over the telephone but also via email and face-to-face, when required. You will triage requests for repairs, book in jobs and schedule appointments for our skilled trades people – Gateway PropertyCare. This is an ‘in-person’ role based at our offices on Preston Docks.

What We Are Looking For In You

  • Significant experience of working in a customer service role, ideally over the telephone
  • Fantastic IT skills, specifically comfortable using core Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to quickly learn our in-house systems with training and support
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with an empathetic approach when interacting with customers
  • Ability to carry out basic fault finding over the phone through effective questioning and prompts

It Would Be Great If You Also Had

  • Experience of working in the social housing sector
  • Experience of planning and scheduling work
  • Knowledge of household repairs and maintenance, e.g. how to top up boiler pressure

This role is based at our gorgeous and modern dock-front offices in Preston.
