Repairs Customer Resolution Officer – Career Grade 5–6
Start your career in Housing Repairs and help get repairs issues resolved for Croydon residents.
The role
You’ll join our Housing Repairs service, supporting the investigation and progression of complex repairs and disrepair cases.
You’ll help keep cases moving by gathering information, monitoring outstanding works, coordinating with repairs teams and contractors and keeping residents informed. You’ll respond to follow-up enquiries and complaints, maintain accurate records and help make sure agreed actions are followed through.
As you develop, you’ll build your knowledge of responsive repairs, property defects and the wider repairs service and take on more responsibility for progressing cases and resolving issues.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous Housing or repairs experience to join us at Grade 5.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience of customer service or dealing directly with the public.
- Experience of organising and progressing work or cases and following actions through.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A practical approach to problem solving and knowing when to ask for technical or management support.
- Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
- The ability to work effectively with others to resolve queries and issues.
- A willingness to develop your knowledge of responsive repairs, disrepair and property defects.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
