Job Introduction

At Notting Hill Genesis, we're committed to delivering high-quality repairs services that meet the needs of our residents and communities. Damp and mould remains one of our key priorities, and we're looking for a Repairs Inspector to join our dedicated Damp & Mould Team.

What You’ll Do

As a Repairs Inspector, you'll play a vital role in helping us identify, investigate and resolve damp and mould issues across our homes. Combining technical expertise with a resident-focused approach, you'll carry out inspections, diagnose underlying causes, specify appropriate remedial works and ensure repairs are completed to the required standard.

You'll work closely with residents, contractors and colleagues across NHG to ensure properties are safe, compliant and well maintained. Through effective inspection, quality assurance and contractor oversight, you'll help deliver positive outcomes for residents while supporting NHG's commitment to maintaining safe, healthy homes.

How You’ll Do It

  • Carry out inspections relating to damp, mould and associated building defects, identifying causes and recommending appropriate remedial works.
  • Prepare clear specifications, reports and recommendations, translating technical information into straightforward advice for residents and colleagues.
  • Manage pre, mid and post-inspections, ensuring works are progressing correctly, delivered to the required standard and provide value for money.
  • Monitor contractor performance, challenging quality, timescales and costs where necessary and ensuring agreed standards are achieved.
  • Investigate technical complaints and complex cases, taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Use inspection findings and performance data to identify trends, highlight risks and support continuous improvement across the Damp & Mould service.
  • Ensure works comply with relevant legislation and regulations, including Awaab's Law, Building Regulations, the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Assets, Housing and contractors to improve resident outcomes and maintain safe homes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
