Repairs Planning Manager

Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
£43,905.68 per annum
Full Time (37 hours per week)
Permanent

We have an excellent opportunity for a Repairs Planning Manager to lead resource planning across our Repairs and Maintenance service, helping drive operational performance, resident experience and efficient delivery across occupied and empty homes.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Repairs, you will maximise operative efficiency, improve repair scheduling and support high-quality service delivery from first contact through to completion.

  • You will make sure vehicles are maintained and compliant, material supply chains are effective, and planning decisions support first-time fixes, void turnaround and productive use of resources.
  • You’ll provide clear leadership and direction to Resource Planners, the Repairs Administrator and the Repairs Inspector, setting objectives, monitoring outcomes and coaching the team to deliver consistently strong performance.

This is a key management role with responsibility for driving performance, improving service delivery, managing budgets and ensuring residents and internal teams receive timely, efficient and empathetic support.

About you

We are looking for a highly organised manager with strong operational grip, sound judgement and the confidence to lead a busy repairs planning function.

You will bring:

  • Good ICT capability
  • A commitment to inclusive customer service
  • The ability to use performance information to prioritise work and improve outcomes

Experience in a repairs environment, social housing or housing management systems would be beneficial, but we are most interested in candidates who can lead people, manage performance and deliver a responsive service.

This post requires that the job holder is subject to a DBS check at a basic level.
