Repairs Support Manager - Temporary Position

We are currently working in partnership with a community-focused housing provider in Staffordshire, who are looking to appoint a Repairs Support Manager on a temporary basis, on a three-to-six-month contract.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate needs experience managing scheduling, planning, or workforce deployment functions within a repairs, maintenance, or construction environment. In addition, you will require a background in dealing with and managing customer complaints.

Rate of Pay

The rate of pay for this position is negotiable, dependent upon experience.

Duties

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as a key link between operational delivery and customer experience, providing assurance that repairs services are delivered efficiently
  • Leading and developing the Repairs Support Team (up to six staff), ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, commercial administration, and customer support functions
  • Maximising workforce productivity through effective management of trade diaries, resource planning, and scheduling processes across directly employed operatives and external contractors
  • Ensuring emergency, routine, planned, and void repair appointments are scheduled efficiently and completed within service standards
  • Supporting the complaints and customer feedback function, ensuring complaints are investigated and managed within policy timescales
  • Providing oversight and supporting the Repairs Complaints Coordinator in delivering an effective complaints management service within the repairs team
  • Ensuring all repairs complaints are triaged, investigated, and responded to within policy and regulatory timescales
  • Working closely with operational teams to implement actions arising from complaints, customer feedback, and satisfaction surveys

Working Hours

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm/5:00pm (some flexibility offered)
  • Fully office based on-site
