Repairs Surveyor
Hybrid - Milton Keynes, Rushden, Peterborough or Boston
£44,858.80 (plus car allowance of £2,750.28) per year

Are you experienced in housing repairs and maintenance? Join our Property Operations team as a Repairs Surveyor, helping keep customers’ homes safe, well maintained and repaired to a high standard.
Salary: £44,858.80 (plus car allowance of £2,750.28) per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours - Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm
Location: Hybrid - weekly office presence in Milton Keynes, Rushden, Peterborough or Boston. This role will involve daily travel to properties in various locations.

Snapshot of your role
- Survey customers’ homes, identify property defects and recommend appropriate solutions through to completion.
- Review and respond to customer complaints, making sure commitments are followed through and issues are resolved promptly.
- Produce clear written reports following inspections to support decisions and repair outcomes.
- Monitor repair performance against KPIs, including first-time fix rates, customer satisfaction and job completion times.
- Inspect completed works to check quality and ensure they meet health and safety requirements, building standards and internal policies.
- Manage a portfolio of homes, working with customers, the Customer Service Team, Property Services Management and other colleagues, including supporting the out-of-hours emergency service through the call-out rota.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role
- A building-related qualification or relevant experience, alongside a Level 3 QCF recognised housing management qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Good working knowledge of buildings, associated defects, housing repairs and maintenance.
- Experience of identifying property defects and carrying out surveys or inspections, with the ability to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and provide a customer-focused service.
- A commitment to service excellence and delivering a high-quality customer experience.
