Maintenance / Stock Condition Surveyor

As a Maintenance Surveyor, your role will be to inspect and assess the condition of buildings, create maintenance plans, and oversee the execution of maintenance and repair works. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all properties are well-maintained, comply with relevant regulations, and operate efficiently.

Previous experience within housing maintenance would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Property Inspections:

  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, facilities, and infrastructure to assess their condition and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Document and report findings, including defects, deficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prioritise maintenance tasks based on urgency, safety, and impact on operations.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality and safety.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to building maintenance and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including property management, operations, and finance, to ensure effective coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Respond to maintenance-related inquiries and provide technical advice and guidance as needed.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance performance, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
