About the role
Arabian Beauty Business (ABB) is looking for an enthusiastic Reporter to join our editorial team during Beautyworld Dubai.
This is an opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical journalism and beauty industry experience at one of the region's leading beauty trade shows.
You will report from the show floor, speak to brands and industry professionals, identify interesting developments and produce short-form editorial content for ABB.
What you will do
- Attend Beautyworld Dubai and report from the show floor
- Interview beauty brands, founders, executives and industry professionals
- Identify new products, brands, launches and trends worth covering
- Write short news stories and event reports for ABB
- Gather quotes, company information and story ideas
- Take basic photographs and videos for editorial use where appropriate
- Attend relevant press conferences, presentations and industry events
- Monitor developments across the exhibition and identify potential follow-up stories
- Work with the ABB editorial team to develop and publish coverage during the event

What we're looking for
You do not need previous professional journalism experience. This opportunity is particularly suited to students studying journalism, media, communications, fashion, beauty or a related subject, as well as recent graduates looking to build their portfolio.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Curious and confident approaching people
- Interested in beauty, business and the Middle Eastern market
- A strong writer with good attention to detail
- Comfortable conducting interviews
- Able to work independently in a busy environment
- Professional, reliable and organised
- Confident using social media and basic digital tools
- Keen to learn and build practical editorial experience

Important information
This is an unpaid, temporary editorial opportunity intended to provide practical experience to students and new graduates. No travel or event-related expenses will be paid; this includes flights.
The role is focused specifically on coverage of Beautyworld Dubai and does not constitute a permanent position with ABB.
