Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Reporter role based in Bournemouth. The Reporter will cover community activities, events, and initiatives, producing timely news stories and feature articles that highlight creative projects and member achievements.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Researching and gathering information
  • Conducting interviews with community members
  • Verifying facts for accuracy and fairness

The Reporter will prepare written reports and multimedia content for online platforms, social channels, and community newsletters, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with the community’s values.

Qualifications

  • Strong Reporting skills, including information gathering, interviewing, and fact-checking.
  • Excellent Writing and News Writing abilities for clear, accurate, and engaging stories.
  • Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with diverse community members.
  • Basic Multimedia skills (e.g., photo, video, or audio capture and editing) to support digital storytelling.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bournemouth, manage part-time hours, and meet deadlines independently.
