Job Title

IP Integration is an organic growth focused business looking for a Reporting Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis, with opportunity for a permanent role subject to circumstances. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move from practice to industry for the first time. A preferred candidate would have experience working in a small to medium practice background. This is a wide role which requires an individual with attention to detail and a common-sense approach. This role will aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial information and undertaking related accounts administration. You will need to be proactive, flexible and able to adapt your approach to your work, and willing to take on project specific and ad-hoc tasks as required.

The intention is for this role to grow in tandem with the company. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining the Income Statement of the business by accurately recording the day to day financial transactions and preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations.

You will report to the CFO in the interim and will work alongside 2 other people in the reporting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of monthly management accounts and financial commentary each month on time and reporting results to the management team.
  • Work with the Billing team to improve the financial reporting in preparation for the monthly Management Accounts.
  • Manage and pay the VAT returns as per HMRC requirements.
  • Manage and pay the P11D and PAYE process as per HMRC requirements.
  • Responsible for accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and explain any significant movements.
  • Assist and work with the external auditors as and when required.
  • Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
  • Ensure financial controls, processes and risks are followed in accordance with those set.
  • Identify potential process and control weaknesses with recommended solutions.
  • Work with FP&A analyst to provide commentary around customer and product profitability.
  • Review of projects against budget to ensure billing and classification accuracy.

Experience

  • Newly qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA (a strong part qualified candidate will be considered)
  • Technology sector experience is highly desirable
  • Practice background with a blend of accounting experience is advantageous
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot, vlookup, sumif etc.)
  • Good knowledge of SAP By Design is advantageous
  • A working knowledge of PowerBI is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
  • Excellent written and verbal English

Qualifications

  • Minimum academic level required: Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Professional qualifications: ACA, ACCA or CTA
