Exposure Analytics and Reporting Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced catastrophe modelling, exposure management or insurance analytics professional to lead a high-profile analytics and reporting function within a leading global (re)insurance business. Based in London, this role sits at the heart of portfolio management, providing critical insight that helps shape underwriting strategy, reinsurance purchasing decisions and business planning.
Working closely with underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance and senior executive teams, you will be responsible for delivering meaningful portfolio insights, leading regulatory reporting activities and managing a talented team of analysts. This is a visible role with significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence business decisions through data-driven analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a specialist analytics and regulatory reporting team.
- Deliver portfolio analysis and reporting that supports strategic decision making.
- Own catastrophe portfolio analytics, including stochastic and deterministic appetite management.
- Oversee outwards reinsurance modelling, net portfolio analysis and strategic planning activities.
- Drive innovation, challenge existing thinking and identify new ways to enhance portfolio understanding and optimisation.
- Partner with underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance and executive stakeholders to communicate complex analytics clearly and effectively.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements and ongoing business initiatives.
- Improve processes, systems and analytical capabilities across the function.

What We're Looking For
We are keen to speak with individuals who combine strong technical capability with proven leadership skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both a strategic and detailed level, with the ability to move between technical analysis and executive-level discussion.
You will be able to:
- Get into the technical detail when required.
- Lead, mentor and steer a high-performing team.
- Bring fresh perspectives and challenge existing approaches.
- Communicate effectively with analysts, underwriters, senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
- Translate complex modelling and portfolio analytics into clear business recommendations.

Experience Required
- Experience within Exposure Management, Catastrophe Modelling, Actuarial Pricing or Capital Modelling.
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of catastrophe modelling outputs and insurance/reinsurance structures.
- Experience using vendor catastrophe modelling platforms (RMS preferred).
- Strong SQL skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, statistical and stakeholder management skills.
This is a London based Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office.
