About the role
Join a growing Finance Process Improvement team that helps organisations improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their finance operations through process optimisation, technology, automation and AI-enabled insights. You will work with clients to review finance processes, identify operational improvement opportunities and support the implementation of practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to lead teams across PwC and client sites, partner with finance stakeholders and deliver tangible improvements across finance operations. Typical engagements may include improving the month-end close process, streamlining controls and reporting activities, reducing manual effort through automation, enhancing management information and using data and AI to generate clearer insights.
What your days will look like
- Lead finance process improvement, operational efficiency and change delivery engagements.
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
- Review finance processes, identify bottlenecks and recommend practical improvements.
- Identify opportunities for automation, AI and technology-enabled efficiencies.
- Lead project teams across PwC and client sites, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Work closely with technology specialists and cross-functional teams.
- Support the delivery of finance technology, automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to proposals, client development and the continued growth of the Reporting Optimisation team.

This role is for you if
- You are a qualified accountant, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- You have experience delivering finance process improvement, operational excellence or change initiatives.
- You can lead projects, teams and senior stakeholder relationships effectively.
- You understand finance processes and can translate business challenges into practical solutions.
- You have a strong interest in technology, automation and AI, and understand how they can improve finance processes.
- You have experience with finance systems, automation, process mining, data analytics or other technology-enabled improvement initiatives.
- You have worked in-house or within a consulting environment.
- You are comfortable working across a varied client portfolio, primarily within the private sector.
