The Reporting Specialist

The Reporting Specialist plays a key role in delivering business intelligence, analytics, and financial data to support strategic decision-making across the Firm. Working within the Finance Reporting team, the Reporting Specialist will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and other business functions to transform complex data into meaningful insights through Power BI and relevant analytics tools.

This role combines strong technical expertise with a consultative approach, helping to enhance reporting capabilities and drive automation and AI opportunities. As a specialist within the team, the role holder will provide technical leadership, share best practices, and contribute to the ongoing development of reporting solutions that support business performance and growth.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting, Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Interpret reporting requirements and shape these into high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards that turn financial data into clear, meaningful insights.
  • Create robust semantic models, DAX calculations, and data transformations that reflect business logic and support consistent reporting outcomes.
  • Maintain clear documentation covering business requirements, reporting logic, workflows, and key process changes.

AI, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Explore and deliver automation and process-improvement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Enhance existing reports, models, and analytical workflows to improve performance, usability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Recommend enhancements to reporting performance, data models, and analytical processes to improve scalability and user experience.

Data Governance

  • Play an active role in building and maintaining a trusted single source of truth for core finance data.
  • Embed strong data quality, governance, and security practices across reporting outputs, analytical models, and supporting processes.
  • Ensure data definitions, calculations, transformations, and reporting logic are clearly documented, traceable, and consistently applied.

Stakeholder and Technical Collaboration

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business priorities, reporting challenges, and opportunities for more effective use of data.
  • Champion smarter ways of working by sharing knowledge, to help users adopt reports, dashboards, and analytical tools with confidence.
  • Partner with Data Engineers on reporting architecture, data modeling, and scalable analytics delivery.
  • Work with SAP specialists to understand source-system processes, data structures, and integration points that support reporting delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification focusing on Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, or other related areas. Strong professional experience will also be considered.
  • Significant experience creating and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power BI is essential, including data modeling, DAX, and design principles.
  • Strong experience delivering business intelligence solutions to non-technical readers.
  • Demonstrable experience in using AI and automation tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, or Microsoft Fabric would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience using other tools including SAP, Tableau, or other analytics/visualization tools would be additionally advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exemplary quality standards.
  • Proactive and motivated approach with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a continuous-improvement mindset.
