Sharp Printing and Broad Oak Colour are specialist printing companies soon to be located together at Westwood Cross area in Thanet. We provide high-quality colour printing services to a diverse range of clients, focusing on reliable production and attention to detail. Team members work with modern print technologies and processes in a professional, craft-oriented environment. We value practical problem-solving, collaboration, and consistency in delivering print materials that meet client specifications and deadlines.
Role Description
The new role is a full-time, on-site position based in Broadstairs, supporting the preparation and design of artwork for print production. The role is an open one, where the person is more important to us than relevant experience. Of course, design and repro experience is welcomed and would be fantastic, however, finding someone who is adaptable, fits in with our current team and who can learn on the job is equally as important to us. Training will be given to the right person.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and adjusting layouts, preparing digital files for printing, and ensuring designs meet technical specifications and color standards. The role involves working with our designers, press operators, suppliers and clients, checking artwork for accuracy, and resolving any pre-press issues before jobs go to print. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, maintain organised file systems, and follow established quality control procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

Qualifications
Ideal:
- Strong Graphic Design skills for creating, adapting, and optimising artwork for print
- Proficiency with industry-standard design and pre-press software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, RIP/pre-press tools)
- Relevant vocational training or qualifications in graphic design, print media, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
Vital:
- High attention to detail, color accuracy, and file management skills in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with production, management and finishing teams
- High level of customer service skills and knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise efficiently, and manage own time
- Adaptable and eager to learn
