The Client:

VWA is partnering with one of the world's longest-standing investment firms. It has nearly 50 years of history, tens of billions of dollars under management and offices across the US and Europe. The firm focuses on strong returns while protecting capital when markets are difficult, and its culture rewards rigour, creativity, hard work and tenacity.

Kindly note that this opportunity is not a fast-track to an Investment Professional role.

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious firm and work with a friendly, high-achieving and supportive team. The Research Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the business, and will span primary research, expert engagement, management assessment, and industry and regulatory analysis. The work will be broad and include:

  • Researching a wide range of topics, including markets, sectors, companies, politics and geographies
  • Acting as a thought partner to investment professionals
  • Sourcing and engaging experts, advisors and other relevant industry participants
  • Running several research projects at once, prioritising well and working to sometimes tight deadlines
  • Communicating with stakeholders internally, including investment professionals and portfolio managers
  • Managing relationships with external consultants, experts and research providers
  • Applying AI tools in day-to-day research and identifying where AI can enhance workflows
  • Tracking company, industry, regulatory, and market developments relevant to each assignment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
