We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Account Executive to join the Content Team at Glance, a leading TV & Video audience research company, as soon as possible.

Glance Ltd, formerly known as Tape Consultancy, is a London-based qualitative media research company with 40+ years of experience. Owned by Médiamétrie, the industry leader in media research in France, Glance is a vibrant, international TV and streaming research bureau, working for more than 50 partners worldwide. We provide market intelligence and research services covering TV audiences, ratings, distribution, and programming on television channels and streaming platforms worldwide. Our clients notably include TV producers, broadcasters, streaming platforms, and content distributors.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and analyse international television and media landscapes for NoTa ("New On The Air"), our service that tracks new TV shows from 48 countries for an international client base
  • Screen, assess and review narrative drivers of international television programmes, particularly in English-speaking markets such as the UK, Australia, the United States
  • Coordinate the production of recurring research reports on scripted and unscripted developments and launches
  • Extract, collect and analyse television and streaming audience data from the UK, English-speaking markets, and others
  • Produce and deliver bespoke research and insights for our clients, helping them build compelling success stories around their programmes across all platforms and consumptions
  • Contribute to the management of a video library: source video material; coordinate international video correspondents; handle clients’ video requests.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • At least two years of experience in research, audience measurement, or media analysis gained within a research firm, television broadcaster, distributor, or production company
  • Excellent English writing skills, in particular writing about television content and audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ease with numerical data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and able to adapt quickly in an international environment
  • A collaborative mindset and an interest in working across multiple areas of expertise
  • Motivated and comfortable working in a small, agile organisation.

Desired Skills And Interests

  • A passion for television, streaming, and new formats such as social video platforms
  • A curiosity about content appeal drivers
  • Competency in data visualisation tools (Power BI) would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of another language apart from English.
