Research and Data Intelligence Manager
Our client is an award-winning team delivering a portfolio of market-leading events, research reports, newsletters, and digital content across the investor relations community.
About the Role
You will run our research program and own the data behind their intelligence products, including the awards rankings built on their long-standing, trusted methodology.
That means running their surveys from build to insight, keeping their benchmarking tool and dashboards supplied with clean, reliable data, and setting the standards that make every number they publish trustworthy.
You will be hands-on with data, fluent with AI and automation, and able to run a one-person function while building systems that do not depend on you alone.
You are the final check on every number they publish, with the judgment to know when a result should not be published.
Responsibilities
- Run the research program and own the data behind the intelligence products, including the awards rankings built on their long-standing, trusted methodology.
- Run their surveys from build to insight.
- Keep their benchmarking tool and dashboards supplied with clean, reliable data.
- Set the standards that make every number they publish trustworthy.
- Be hands-on with data, fluent with AI and automation.
- Run a one-person function while building systems that do not depend on you alone.
- Act as the final check on every number they publish, with the judgment to know when a result should not be published.
- Be responsible for raising survey responses, meeting deadlines, taking initiative, and pushing insights toward the edi team etc.
- Be client-facing with confidence and knowledge behind the numbers, able to defend the stats and explain for clients, sponsors, award winners, and subscribers.
- Manage several surveys and deliverables to deadline at once.

Qualifications

Three or more years in a data, research, business intelligence, or market intelligence role.
Required Skills
- Have implemented AI in research - the more knowledge around this, the better.
- An owner, not just a follower - responsible for raising survey responses, meeting deadlines, taking initiative, and pushing insights toward the edi team etc.
- Client-facing - confidence and knowledge behind the numbers, someone who can defend the stats and explain for clients, sponsors, award winners, and subscribers.
- Experience running survey programs end to end: build, cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience turning data and information into valuable products, such as a benchmarking tool, a data feed for audience workflows, or a subscription dataset.
- Strong working knowledge of Qualtrics or a similar survey platform, and hands-on HubSpot experience.
- Strong SQL, confident with spreadsheets, a visualization tool such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau, and GA4.
- Able to bring separate data sources together into one clean system.
- Working knowledge of data privacy rules in the UK, EU, and North America, including consent and licensing.
- Hands-on experience using AI in analytical work, and an appetite to automate whatever can be automated.
- Exceptional attention to detail. Accuracy is critical in this role.
- Excellent communication skills: able to explain data in plain English to colleagues, clients, and partners, and happy to pick up the phone to their audience.
- Able to own a function independently in a small team and manage several surveys and deliverables to deadline at once.
