Development Chemist
Swindon | £35,000–£37,000 | On-site
Are you a Development Chemist or Formulation Chemist looking for a hands-on R&D role where you can be involved throughout the product development lifecycle?
Wilkins Talent Solutions is working with an established organisation in the Swindon area to recruit a Development Chemist to join its specialist technical team.
This is a varied, practical role combining formulation, product development, laboratory testing and technical support, with the opportunity to see products progress from initial development through to manufacture.
The role will include:
- Developing and improving formulated products
- Carrying out laboratory testing and performance evaluation
- Conducting stability and quality testing
- Supporting new product development and existing product improvement
- Planning and carrying out product trials
- Producing technical reports and documentation
- Working closely with production teams during scale-up and manufacture
- Providing technical support where required
- Ensuring development work meets relevant quality, safety and regulatory standards

What we're looking for
You'll have a degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, together with experience or a good understanding of formulation and/or coatings technology.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous, although we're happy to consider candidates from other relevant product-development backgrounds.
You'll be someone who enjoys being hands-on in the laboratory, is naturally curious and enjoys solving technical problems.
Salary: £35,000–£37,000
Location: Swindon
Working pattern: On-site
