About the Role

Our client is a market-leading software company that builds robust, scalable solutions to support mission-critical decisions. They are seeking an innovative R&D Engineer to join their team and drive the future of their product roadmap.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of software engineering and emerging technology. You will be responsible for exploring new technologies, rapidly prototyping ideas, and building proof-of-concepts that directly influence the company's technical strategy. If you enjoy solving problems that don't yet have clear answers and experimenting with the latest tech, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and engineering approaches.
  • Build prototypes and experimental software to validate new technical concepts.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate experimentation.
  • Investigate technical feasibility and scalability for new product ideas.
  • Translate research findings into technical recommendations for product development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
