About the Role

Do you want to join a dynamic and highly productive team researching cardiovascular care within the School of Nursing & Midwifery? If so this could be the opportunity you are looking for. Within this post you will be contributing to an exciting programme of research in heart failure care, with the opportunity to enhance your skill set and develop your CV. The successful candidate will be an active member of the HEart faiLure carer support Programme (HELP) research team, assisting in the planning and delivery of research activity so that the overall research objectives of the project are met.

This project is funded by the British Heart Foundation and will be conducted across 3 centres in the United Kingdom. It will involve assessing the implementation and impact of HELP, which is a nurse-led, co-designed programme of educational and psychological support for carers of patients with heart failure. The post holder will be responsible for daily project delivery and management, spanning participant recruitment; mixed-method data collection and storage; routine administrative duties; and regular communication with the multi-disciplinary project team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
