Research Assistant – Adsorbent Development
Location: Cambridge

Astrea Bioseparations is seeking an enthusiastic Research Assistant specialising in adsorbent development to join our Research & Development team in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative chromatography products that support the manufacture of life-changing therapies.
Working alongside experienced scientists, you will support a variety of R&D projects through laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and reporting. Training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to further develop their scientific career within the biotechnology sector.

- Conduct laboratory experiments to support product and application development projects.
- Evaluate and interpret experimental results.
- Prepare accurate laboratory records and technical reports.
- Present findings to project teams and internal stakeholders.
- Support the production and analysis of proteins, nucleic acids, and viral vector feedstocks.
- Perform routine laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance.
About You
You will hold a degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline and have a genuine interest in biotechnology and scientific innovation.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Organised and detail-oriented.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Passionate about advancing bioprocessing and therapeutic development.
