Personal Assistant – Private Office & Research
Part-Time | Fully On-Site | Fulham, London
Role Description
I am looking for a highly organised, intelligent and proactive Personal Assistant to work directly with me and help manage the practical, administrative and professional aspects of a busy personal and working life.
Although this position is being advertised through Morv London Ltd, this is not a fashion role and will not involve working on the fashion business. The role is primarily personal and administrative, alongside supporting me with a number of writing, research, podcast and media projects.
This is a strictly on-site position based in Fulham, London. It is not a remote or hybrid role. I am specifically looking for someone who can work alongside me in person during agreed working hours.
The role is varied. On the personal administration side, I need someone who can take responsibility for practical matters that require organisation and persistent follow-up. This may include paying and keeping track of bills, dealing with insurance claims and reimbursements, arranging returns and refunds, organising receipts and invoices, preparing information for accountants, managing correspondence, completing forms, keeping track of deadlines and following up with companies and organisations until matters are resolved.
There will also be some family administration, particularly relating to my daughter’s education. This may involve researching schools, keeping track of applications and deadlines, completing and organising documentation, arranging appointments and visits, and corresponding with schools and other educational organisations.
Alongside the administrative work, I am developing writing, book, podcast and media projects. I would therefore particularly value someone who is intellectually curious and capable of assisting with research, fact-checking, organising notes and source material, managing documents and correspondence, and helping bring structure to a large amount of information and ideas.
This is not a conventional PA position where the role is simply to wait for instructions. I am looking for someone who can think independently, investigate problems, use good judgement and take responsibility for getting things done.
For example, if an insurance company has failed to reimburse something, I would like the person to be able to understand the issue, find the relevant documentation, contact the appropriate people, follow it up and keep track of the matter until it is resolved — rather than needing to be instructed at every stage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who I’m Looking For
I am particularly interested in a bright final-year university student, postgraduate student or recent graduate, ideally from a law, technology, business, research or other analytical background.
A legal background would be particularly useful because a significant part of the role requires reading documents carefully, understanding correspondence, dealing confidently with organisations and knowing how to research an issue properly. A technology background would also be valuable, particularly someone comfortable using digital tools, AI and online systems to work efficiently.
However, the degree subject itself is less important than the person.
I am looking for someone who is smart, capable, curious and resourceful — someone who enjoys figuring things out rather than becoming overwhelmed when something is unfamiliar.
The right person will be:
- Highly intelligent and quick to understand new information
- Exceptionally organised and reliable
- Proactive rather than waiting to be told every next step
- Comfortable taking ownership of a task and seeing it through to completion
- Excellent at researching unfamiliar subjects
- Confident dealing with companies, insurers, schools and professional organisations
- Comfortable with numbers, bills, invoices and basic financial administration
- Digitally confident and comfortable learning new systems
- Comfortable using AI and technology as research and organisational tools
- A strong written and verbal communicator
- Able to write clear, professional emails and correspondence
- Extremely attentive to detail
- Persistent and comfortable following things up when necessary
- Able to distinguish between something urgent and something that can wait
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential personal and financial information
- Intellectually curious and interested in ideas
- Comfortable working independently while also working closely alongside me
- Flexible in moving between very different types of tasks during the same day

An interest in psychology, philosophy, politics, culture, relationships, social issues, writing or media would also be an advantage because of the nature of some of the research and creative projects.
Experience
Previous PA or administrative experience would be helpful, but it is not essential.
I am more interested in finding someone with the right level of intelligence, initiative, judgement and reliability than someone who has simply held a PA title before.
This could therefore be particularly suitable for an ambitious university student or recent graduate who wants a varied part-time position alongside their studies or early career.
