The Crossley Lab at the world-leading CRUK Cambridge Institute is recruiting an enthusiastic and collaborative Postdoctoral Researcher to help uncover the mechanisms by which RNA-DNA hybrids contribute to human disease and how these pathways can be exploited for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the group at a formative stage, supported by long-term funding from Cancer Research UK and the Wellcome Trust, and to shape a research programme aligned with your expertise and interests.
Research Opportunities
Projects Within The Lab Span
- Genome biology of pathological R-loops and their impact on genome stability in cancer and neurodegeneration.
- Cytoplasmic RNA-DNA hybrids and their role in innate immune signalling.
- Extracellular RNA-DNA hybrid release and communication between cells.
- Genomics and computational approaches to study RNA-DNA hybrids in cellular and patient-derived samples.

About You
You will have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline (awarded or submitted prior to appointment).
- A strong interest in cancer biology, genome biology, RNA biology, immunology, computational biology or a related field.
- Excellent scientific, communication and collaborative skills.
Whether your background is experimental, computational, or a combination of both, we welcome applications from researchers who are excited to contribute to a rapidly emerging area of biology with significant translational potential.
