Join Chatham House's Environment and Society Centre and help shape policy debates on some of the most pressing global challenges, including climate risks, energy transitions, resource competition, and climate diplomacy. Working closely with the Energy and Climate Lead, you will contribute to impactful research, stakeholder engagement, and innovative projects that influence decision-makers around the world.
What you will do
- Conduct policy-relevant research on climate, energy, and geopolitical issues.
- Lead and contribute to research papers, briefings, and other publications.
- Support the design and delivery of high-profile events, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, experts, funders, and partner organizations.
- Contribute to fundraising activities, including proposal and concept note development.

What you will bring
- Research experience in energy transition, climate diplomacy, climate policy, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work to deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- An interest in translating research into practical policy impact.

Salary
£38,000 per year.
Contract
Full-time, Permanent.
Location
St James's Square, London. This is a hybrid role based in our London office. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite at least 2 days per week, with flexibility around event requirements needed.
